Start a home based business using ebay!

If your mom, day, sister, brother, friend, relative were to ask you were to sell a aged portrait of the famous baseball player Babe Ruthe, about 97% of the population would say "eBay it" or "eBay!". eBay is a trademark for the worlds online market place and is a trusted and roughly traded platform online. Over millions of products are sold every each day on eBay, this is a great opportunity to work from home. If you decide to list over hundreds of products to just one item, there is great potential to be made with eBay.

By the way have you ever wondered how it would be to own a store? With eBay you can own your own store and manage everything right online, and use your closet as a warehouse!

eBay has many powerful tools to get you started with your business, with their automation tools to keep less work off your hands. First you need to find out what you want to sell, lets get started!

What to Sell

Starting a home business using eBay can take some thought in what you are going to sell and market. If you have any items laying around your home then by all means use it, if not there are plenty of other sources and ways to get started. There are many drop shipping companies that allow you to sell the product without it being in your hands, meaning you tell someone else to send it to your buyer. There is also another alternative, if you have some spending cash you can go ahead and work with a wholesale distributor which will allow you to buy in bulk. It is up to you if you want to go ahead and buy all one product or have a variety.

Time to setup shop!

Decided to setup shop huh? Well getting started with them is very simple, many storefronts have default store design templates for you to use when setting your shop up. If you are a more advanced computer user and are familiar with HTML/CSS you can customize the look and feel to what you choose. After you setup your shop and items, always make sure to do a final walk through by yourself and then with friends and family. See if it user friendly, since your working at home the most work you can do is by asking your family for a review.

Grand Opening Of Your New Shop!

Preparations have been complete, final touches have been made, there is nothing left on your check list. You are ready to open your store, but how are we going to market it? This is a very common question, eBay has millions of users and listing a item or even hundreds will expose your store to the marketplace.

Word of mouth is key aswell, spread the word to your family and friends and tell them to pass it on. You can also advertise on community boards to spread your storefront, make sure the forums are related to your niche and most definitely do not spam your ads all over. You will get kicked and banned within a matter of minutes.

How To Earn With Affiliates!

More and more companies are establishing their businesses on the Internet, and affiliate programs have begun to rise in popularity. Working with a affiliate program can be very hard work depending how much experience you have had in the past, generating traffic to the companies website and providing them a potential customer can get you some serious cash. Lets get started shall we?

The internet is a huge marketplace at your hands! - That being said, their are many possibilities and it lies all within your hands, brain, computer. :) If you the worker bee can manage to tap a tiny portion of the worlds web visitors, you can see that half of them will purchase a product or service and yourself can reap the life changing money in your affiliate account. Next thing you know, you aren't the worker bee anymore.

This does not mean quit your day job! - Some affiliates boom to glory with their "life changing money" or even car payment money, but this certainly doesn't mean you have to quit your day job. Let this be a secondary income for yourself, nobody said this was easy.

One day you can quit your day job but right now we are learning the basics so don't get to excited.

So lets see how it works now, starting a affiliate business is very easy:
  • Build yourself a blog, website.
  • If you have a website find something near your niche area, there are hundreds and thousands of affiliate programs to choose from. It shouldn't be to hard.
  • Now link your affiliate program from your site using your very own personal tracking link.
  • Generate/Create Traffic to your website/blog to gain exposure and possible affiliate customers.
  • Some how make your visitors buy your affiliate product.
Simple right? Lets move on...

Time to look for a affiliate program, but where? - Joining a affiliate program is easy and cost-free, but their are some steps involved. Here they are:

  • Find a profitable niche
  • Look for a niche with beatable competition
  • Find a niche that you like or have experience with
  • Create your content for that niche
A popular market to get into? Yep there is.- Their are popular niches and then their are boring niches which get low sales/commissions, here are the ones that have been popular over time:
  • Education
  • Poker
  • Mortage

Want to read something crazy? In the Education and Mortage niche they pay for leads, meaning your visitor doesn't even have to take a loan for you to get paid. A ball park range can be $75 per lead. The poker niche can pay you up to $300 CPA for each player you recruit, doesn't that sound just grand?

What makes your site different? - The competition does, thats who. Some affiliates can turn over loads of cash into your account while others give you a trickle of the real payload. Ofcourse many people go for the affiliate that pours the moolah into their account, but that takes work and the option to beat out your competition. To even begin to do that, you need to the following:

  • Research and put a lot of thought on which niche your comfortable with and feel you will prosper the most.
  • Find your competition
Great, you found your competition and you done the research and you are ready to go with your niche. So now we need to build a website.

Having a website is a tool, you want to have the best tool to attract and work with the visitor. You literally have seconds to attract their attention, so dress up your website and give it that right look and feel. Don't forget to make the buy now button nice and visible!

Content is King, and creating it is what gets your visitor. Good looks do play a role but aren't enough. For your website to generate a income it needs to have the following two things:
  • Traffic
  • Conversion(Meaning your visitor to purchase)
This is done with filling your money hungry website with quality content, and relevant information to your niche and possibly some nice incentives for them to purchase the product.

Search Engine Optimization - This is a benefit if you have chosen to work online rather than receiving organic traffic. Your content must also be search engine optimized.

Give affiliate's a chance, as this can lead to a nice prosperous life with less of the limited and more of the freedom! Remember if you don't try, you cant succede.

Steps To Earn Money From Blogging

This makes everyone nuts, earning money online? How do they do it! People make it sound so simple, but its no where near easy. It does take time to take off and prosper but your the one to make it what it is. Follow my guide and you should be up in no time! Lets Get Started!! :)

Many people get started and find out they only make pennies to the dollar, but some post success stories and the other party feels down. Hence many people who blog will quit eventually. It does need some planning, just like any business or any job you do. It needs to be carefully thought out with what content and material you are going to choose. Lets Get Started This Time! :)

1.) You should pick a topic that you like or have a good understanding of, Simple! We all know that their are bloggers out there that choose to write about their daily ramblings like myself, but having over hundreds of thousands of these blogs, makes it kind of boring don't you think? Some popular topics today are technology and anything that is product focused.

2.) Building up a fan base or as we call it Traffic! The best way to create a sturdy structure of traffic is simply to post quality content. Content is king like I mentioned and we should post what comes to our mind, for instance if you write a review of a product for your tech blog which tells the public about the new "iPhone 360" not saying there is one, but you get the picture. Speaking of pictures, hence having a tech review blog you can also include Pictures, a youtube video. Doing this will bring your fans closer and it sends them a message that you are serious of what you do with your blog and you have the time to review for the public.

3.) When to monetize the blog, this can be very tricky. This can be a big debate amongst many blogger's and webmasters. Some people stress placing ads on a blog in the beginning will show the crowd you expect to have read your blog that you are looking for cash right away with junkie content. Some people like to place advertisements after a certain amount of unique visits to their blog, this can cause many people to hate the new look of the blog with the annoying ads. This is entirely up to your perspective.

Plumwire blog although has ads since its startup, I believe that it does not matter. It is up to the people who visit your blog if they all of a sudden click your sponsored links. I myself like to watch my blog prosper and keep track of daily earnings.

4.) Control Yourself, as blogging is not a get-rich and live in a nice new condo scheme which many blogger's have proven possible. A first time blogger can make a couple pennies a day to even a dollar. With that being said you shouldn't give up yet, if you are focused and are looking to put your ideas out on the web you shouldn't have any problems. What happens next is usually what 80% of bloggers do...

5.) Giving up. You must start and stay strong, you just made a commitment and you should continue with it. Many bloggers say the first six months in the blogging scene are important, not only because you profit the most depending on the blog. Yet you set a example of why your blog is standing out above the rest, this shows people why your blog is not a get rich quick scheme. Tough it out and stay strong for the first 6 months, it will soon pay off!

6.) Google Adsense is key, but wait theres more! You don't entirely have to rely on Googles wonderful money making tool AdSense. A lot of bloggers that see that your blog is prospering with traffic and a fan base would like to have a spot on your blog. This is where you sell a link or image on your blog to link to theirs.

7.) Affiliate and stream your income. Work with sites such as cafepress.com to customize your own line of products. T-shirts, Hats, and other products can be sold through them and once you sell a product earn revenue off it.

8.) From a blog to another. Many of today's blogger's learn from past blogger's on how to build a nice and steady blog. A popular topic today is making money online for instance John Chow who offers his readers free E-books on earning money. He also likes to give reports on how much he earns through blogging each month. In the month of June he claimed to have earned over $40,000.

Some people take it seriously and some take it for having fun and enjoying what they do, that should be your priority. Don't let Chows success intimidate you, everyone starts somewhere. Now or never you or someone you know will be the next internet blogging full time mom or dad, so why don't you give it a go?

Uncoded PSD Layout: Super Blog

Was working on it a couple days ago, I never coded it. I am looking to just give it away so if you like my work and want to code it yourself go ahead and grab yourself the PSD. If you manage to code it yourself or put it online, I would like to see a working copy.

I call this SuperBlog. Because Superblog is Super!

Plumwire Logos

I decided to design some logos for the heck of it, some simple ones. I may use these for the near future.
